"Karyn Sanders re-creates the ribbon-trimmed boxes so popular in the past. "I basket-wove French ribbons on a vintage candy box and gave it a velvet grape corsage," she explains. "I covered the base in shell-pink satin moire ribbon and added a thin band of fluted silk as trim. For the lid, I couldn't resist adding velvet popcorn smocking because of its wonderful old-fashioned effect." Ribbon flowers on the hatbox on the right by Margaret Wolfe.
